The RSR driver clinched the SR3 championship with a margin of 23 points to title rivals Sebastian Schou and Morten Strømsted. The prototype racing series was new for the 2026 season and was organized in collaboration with Creventic. It was the first time that Radical had hosted a racing series in Europe since the Radical European Masters championship which ran from 2008 to 2018. Gidley clinched the SRO3 title under a bizarre set of circumstances on Saturday as his No. 56 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II stopped on track while on the formation lap for Race 1 of the weekend. While not scoring any points in the race, Gidley’s closest title challenger, Tony Davis, needed to either win or finish second in the race, but the HP-TECH Motorsport driver came home fourth.
