BMW has revealed a three-car attack for next month’s FIA GT World Cup on the streets of Macau, including a comeback for Kelvin van der Linde.

The Bavarian manufacturer has expanded its fleet from the two M4 GT3 EVOs it ran at the Guia Circuit last year, with Team WRT adding a second car and GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS squad Team KRC returning to the event after a year away.

Two-time winner Raffaele Marciello joins WRT alongside van der Linde, who is set to make his first Macau appearance as a BMW driver, having last raced for Audi in 2019.

Van der Linde’s brother Sheldon drove for the Belgian squad at Macau last year, while Marciello finished runner-up for ROWE Racing, which is not present this time.

Meanwhile, 2018 winner Farfus returns to Macau along with KRC after the Taiwanese team’s decision to skip the 2025 race, as previously reported by Sportscar365.

“We are very pleased to be able to compete with three BMW M4 GT3 EVOs on the legendary streets of Macau in 2026,” said BMW motorsport boss Andreas Roos. “Many thanks to Teams WRT and KRC for their commitment.

“The GT3 season finale always has a very special atmosphere and is simply fantastic as a standalone event.

“With Raffaele Marciello and Augusto Farfus, we have two drivers with a wealth of Macau experience. Every time they are on the grid, they are among the top contenders for victory.

“Kelvin van der Linde will be competing on the Guia Circuit for the first time since 2019 and also for the first time for BMW M Motorsport. That’s a big challenge, but as one of the best GT drivers in the world, he will certainly be up at the front.

“After unfortunately missing out on victory in the main race in recent years despite strong performances, we are all the more determined this time to be on the top step of the podium. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for everyone involved.”

BMW becomes the second manufacturer to firm up its Macau plans after Mercedes-AMG, which revealed a three-car effort of its own back in August.

A full entry list for the FIA GT World Cup, which takes place on Nov. 19-22, is expected to be published later this week.
