The Michelin 24H European Series is set to return to the Red Bull Ring next year, according to its 2027 race calendar.

The Creventic-owned series last visited the Austrian circuit a decade ago, in 2017. The Michelin 12H Red Bull Ring will take the place on May 14-16 as the third race on the five-round calendar.

This slot was previously held by a 12-hour race at Paul Ricard, but this event has been pushed back in next year’s schedule to June. Paul Ricard will now be the fourth race of the year.

This fourth round was held at the Nürburgring this year, in the 24H Series’ debut at the German circuit. However, this appears to have been a one-time affair as the Nürburgring is the only circuit not to return in the 2027 calendar.

The season-opening 12H Mugello will kick off the championship on the same weekend in late March.

A regular fixture on the 24H Series calendar, the 12H Spa-Francorchamps will also return in 2027 as the second race of the year on April 9-11.

The season will once again be brought to a close at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in September. The 24H Barcelona is the only event of the year to be run as a non-stop 24-hour race.

The rest of the events will utilize their usual format of splitting the 12 hours of racing across Saturday and Sunday.

Each event will be preceded by two CR track days, which will give teams extra time to practice before racing commences.

Helen Roukens, General Manager at Creventic, said: “We are very pleased to present a 2027 calendar with such a clear identity: five outstanding Grand Prix circuits, four 12-hour races and the 24H Barcelona as our season finale. It gives our teams continuity at venues they know and value, while the return of the Red Bull Ring adds something genuinely special.

“The compact five-round format is attractive for teams. It provides 72 hours of racing at five leading circuits without creating an oversized calendar, making a complete championship campaign realistic and worthwhile for professional organisations and ambitious privateer teams alike.

“We therefore expect full-season entries to grow again in 2027, continuing the positive development of recent seasons. We look forward to welcoming our competitors to five fantastic events in 2027.’’

Radical Cup Europe Set for Second Outing in 2027

The Radical Cup Europe championship will return as a support series to the 24H European Series next year. It will once again follow the 24H Series across Europe, racing in the same locations.

While a firm schedule has not yet been announced, each race weekend will include practice and qualifying sessions, followed by two endurance races at each event.

The championship will welcome owners of both the Radical SR3 and SR10.
