Fifty-four cars are set to contest the fourth round of the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup next weekend in the inaugural six-hour Motul Sportscar Endurance Grand Prix at Road America.

The Wisconsin-based circuit had previously been part of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as a two-hour and 40-minute race, but was extended to become an Endurance Cup round for 2026.

A total of 11 GTP cars headline the entry list, which was released by IMSA on Wednesday. The class was absent at the last round of the championship at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.

The majority of GTP teams have decided to favor a two-driver lineup for Road America. This includes the No. 93 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06, as it appears Kaku Ohta will not join teammates Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly as he did in Watkins Glen.

Frederick Vesti will return to the championship-leading No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R alongside Jack Aitken and Earl Bamber.

The No. 5 JDC Miller Motorsports Porsche 963 will be the only other GTP team to campaign three drivers with Tijmen van der Helm, Laurin Heinrich and Kaylen Frederick behind the wheel.

The LMP2 class is set to grow to 12 cars since its last outing at CTMP, thanks to the addition of the No. 79 JDC Miller Oreca-07 Gibson which will be driven by Gerry Kraut, Josh Burdon and Sennan Fielding.

Both the No. 18 Era Motorsport Oreca and the No. 37 Intersport entry will return to the championship after missing the last round.

Much of the LMP2 driver roster remains the same, save for the Intersport crew which lists Oliver Jarvis and Jon Field alongside an as of yet unconfirmed driver.

GTD Pro’s 12 entries also remain much the same in terms of driver pairings with all teams favouring a two-driver squad for the six-hour enduro. Endurance Cup competitors Risi Competizione, Triarsi Competizione and Manthey are all set to return for the penultimate round of the season.

Thomas Preining will return to the No. 911 Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo alongside Klaus Bachler after missing the last Endurance Cup round at the Glen due to a clash with the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa.

Car Blanche’s No. 068 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo will move back down to GTD after running in the Pro class last time out at CTMP. Valentin Hasse Clot will be joined by Marius Fossard and Trenton Estep.

The Car Blanche machine is just one of 19 GTD entries for next weekend’s race. The class has ballooned since its last race at CTMP as Endurance Cup regulars Triarsi, Manthey 1st Phorm, Lone Star Racing, RS1 and AF Corse USA return to the series.

Lilou Wadoux will return to the No. 21 AF Corse USA squad after missing Watkins Glen. So too does Morris Schuring in the Manthey 1st Phorm Porsche.

Both Gradient Racing’s FIA Gold-rated driver and Jan Heylen’s teammates in the No. 28 RS1 Porsche are yet to be decided. Joey Hand had previously driven the No. 66 Ford Mustang GT3 Evo for the Gradient outfit but does not appear on the entry list.

The No. 81 Dragonspeed 10 Star Corvette ZO6 GT3.R will see Alec Udell join series regulars Giacomo Altoè and Casper Stevenson.

Track action will commence on Fri. July 31 with the opening practice session of the weekend. Second practice and qualifying will take place on Sat. August 1, before the six-hour endurance race kicks off on Sunday at 11:30 a.m EST. Coverage of the full race will be available on Peacock, and for international viewers, on IMSA’s YouTube channel.
