Thirty-three cars are set to take part in the inaugural Michelin 12H Nürburgring next month for the penultimate round of the Michelin 24H European Series.

The event is Creventic’s first visit to Germany since 2022 and replaces the 12H Misano on the series calendar.

Mercedes-AMG will once again be the most represented manufacturer in the GT3 class, with five of its GT3 Evos taking to the track.

Championship leaders GetSpeed Team PCX Racing return with the aim of extending its points lead on home turf. The No. 28 Mercedes-AMG currently holds a narrow advantage of just six points to Hofor Racing.

The Team PCX squad missed out on its first win of the season last time out at Paul Ricard. The GetSpeed-run entry was bested on pitstop strategy by Hofor’s No. 11 car.

With its win in Paul Ricard, the Swiss team also claimed the GT3-AM class lead going into Round 4.

Second in the GT3-Am standings is the sister GetSpeed Team JR286 machine, which will also make a return at the Nürburgring.

Ajith RedAnt Racing – famous for having Tamil actor Ajith Kumar in its lineup – will seek to turn its fortunes around at the Nürburgring. The team was tied for the overall championship lead going into Paul Ricard, but dropped back to fourth in the standings after it lost out to Team PCX.

It still sits second in the GT3 Pro-Am points tally, 12 points behind the No. 28 squad.

Viper Niza Racing are also set to return. The Malaysian team currently holds third in the GT3-Am class.

Sainteloc Junior Team’s No. 18 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II is tied with Hofor Racing for second in the overall standings. It will be looking to continue its podium streak at the Nürburgring after winning the opening round at Mugello and taking third place at Paul Ricard.

A further three Audi R8s will race at the Nürburgring courtesy of HAAS RT, Juta Racing and Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport.

Reigning teams’ champions Proton Competition will take to the track as the sole Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo in the field.

The German team has displayed strong pace so far this year but has not had the results to match. A season which has not yet netted a podium sees it sit a distant fifth place in the series standings.

On the other hand, Era Motorsport experienced a resurgence in form at Paul Ricard after back-to-back DNFs earlier in the season. Its No. 81 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo took third place in the GT3 Pro-Am class.

An additional Ferrari 296 GT3 will come from Pellin Racing, and series regulars E2P Racing will return with its Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo.

ARC Bratislava will complete the GT3 field with its No. 44 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo.

The hotly-contested 992 field will see nine Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars battle for victory.

Mühlner Motorsport’s No. 921 machine had dominated the early part of the season with a pair of victories, but was beaten to the top step in Paul Ricard by the No. 909 Red Camel-Jordans.nl Porsche.

Mühlner holds a 16-point lead to the Red Camel team. The German squad will also enter a second car for its home event.

992-Am points leaders QMMF by HRT Performance will not return for the race at the Nürburgring, giving the second-placed No. 910 Seblajoux Racing entry a great opportunity to close the gap in the class standings.

The TCE-TCX class has ballooned out to six cars for the German event, including three entries for points leaders asBest Racing.

A further two cars will compete in the GT4 class.

The championship’s maiden visit to the Nürburgring GP circuit will take place on July 3-5.
