Davis Roars to GTA Pole at Sebring

Tony Davis snatched pole position for Race 1 of the GT America powered by AWS weekend at Sebring.
David set a 2:02.400 lap time in his No. 04 HP-TECH Motorsport Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo, 0.855 seconds ahead of championship rival Kyle Washington.
It marked his second career pole position in GT America after he grabbed pole at the Circuit of The Americas last month.
The HP-TECH driver was also the only competitor to dip below a 2:03 lap time.
Washington in the No. 32 GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo pipped points leader Memo Gidley to second place on the grid.
Gidley, who has completed a clean sweep of wins so far this season with his SKI Autosports Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, will be joined on the second row by Mirco Schultis in the Mishimotors Callaway Corvette 7 GT3-R.
Ross Chouest completed the top five in the session with a 2:04.148 lap time in his No. 50 Chouest Povoledo Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
Ginetta chairman Lawrence Tomlinson took his Dollahite Racing Ginetta G56 GT2, the sole GT2 class entry for this weekend, to 11th on the grid.
GT4 top honors went to Jason Bell in his No. 2 Racers Edge Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage GT4.
David Lecko grabbed the Cup class pole in the No. 89 RacingSupport Ginetta GTP8.
The grid for Race 2 will be set by the fastest laps set during Race 1 later today.
Race 1 of the weekend is set to start at 3:35 p.m. EST, with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.
