Porsche Penske Motorsport continued to hold control of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as the race reached the halfway mark.

The No. 7 Porsche 963 of Felipe Nasr held a 1.667-second lead over teammate Kevin Estre in the sister No. 6 machine with six hour completed, following what’s been a 90-minute green flag run.

Nick Yelloly ran third in the No. 93 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06, with Fred Vesti and Tom Blomqvist having completed the top-five.

Drama struck the No. 25 Team RLL BMW M Hybrid V8 of Marco Wittmann in the fifth hour when Brendan Iribe spun his No. 70 Inception Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo and got collected by the German as the FIA Bronze-rated driver crept forward.

Wittmann lost 15 laps in the garage undergoing left-rear suspension repairs, in what was the first, and only, significant setback for a GTP class entry so far.

LMP2 was led by the No. 99 AO Racing Oreca 07 Gibson of Dane Cameron, who was ahead of the No. 11 TDS Racing machine of Charles Milesi.

AO also continued to pace the GTD Pro ranks with Nick Tandy having led a Porsche 1-2, with the No. 911 Manthey Racing entry of Thomas Preining in second.

Pole-sitter Jack Hawksworth, in his 100th IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship start with the Lexus RC F GT3, ran third at the midway point.

Charlie Eastwood, meanwhile, was out front of GTD in his DXDT Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R.

The No. 81 DragonSpeed Corvette returned to action after spending three hours undergoing repairs following Henrik Hedman’s high speed accident that was triggered by the No. 52 Bryan Herta Autosport with PR1/Mathiasen LMP2 entry of Parker Thompson.
