A 55-car entry has been confirmed for next weekend’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Michelin Endurance Cup season.
Released by IMSA on Wednesday, the entry is comprised of 11 GTPs, 12 LMP2 cars, 13 GTD Pro entries and 19 GTDs.
There are no major changes in the GTP ranks from the previously announced lineups except for a car number change to the JDC-Miller Motorsports Porsche 963, which will now sport the No. 5 because of returning sponsorship from Mustang Sampling.
Tijmen van der Helm, Nico Pino and Kaylen Frederick remain the three drivers for the lone privateer entry in top-level sports car car racing competition worldwide.
LMP2 has a dozen entries with the addition of JDC-Miller’s LMP2 car, featuring Gerry Kraut, Josh Burdon and Sennan Fielding, which joins the grid in place of AF Corse’s Oreca 07 Gibson, which was understood to have been a one-off for Daytona.
Inter Europol Competition’s second Oreca, which was for Daytona-only, is not present.
GTD Pro has been reduced from 15 to 13 cars for Sebring with no 75 Express or GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos, as expected.
Of note, Pfaff Motorsports will give the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 its global debut with the all-factory lineup of Andrea Caldarelli, Sandy Mitchell and Franck Perera.
Winward Racing’s GTD Pro entry, featuring Luca Stolz with Jason Hart and Scott Noble, is also entered, for what’s understood to be the second and final time this season.
In GTD, the No. 28 RS1 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo has an adjusted lineup with Spencer Pumpelly getting drafted into the squad in place of Eric Zitza, while Magnus Racing will not be present with its Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, which is on a partial schedule.
The total entry is down by one from last year’s 56-car field, and below the maximum 62-car maximum that’s permitted to take part in the race per the event’s supplementary regulations.
The Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring is set to get underway on March 21 at 10:10 a.m. EST with live coverage on Peacock.
