Sam Paley will head ‘down under’ to race in Australia this year, with the Ford Racing Driver Development Team member confirmed in Wallis Motorsport’s Ford Mustang GT4 for Monochrome GT4 Australia competition.
The Mustang Challenge North America race winner will team up with Jack Wallis in the Silver class entry.
It will mark Paley’s first season-long GT4 campaign after making six starts in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge last year, highlighted by a second place finish at Virginia International Raceway in KohR Motorsports’ Mustang GT4.
“This is just a great opportunity,” said Paley. “I’m very excited to be joining Jack, Adam, and Wallis Motorsport for the 2026 GT4 Monochrome series in Australia this season.
“This new generation of Mustang GT4 is a phenomenal race car and had massive global success in 2025. We will be looking to build on that success this year.
“Ford and Mustang have a huge following down in Australia, and I’m looking forward to growing my personal network, experience, and exposure ‘Down Under.’
“There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Ford Racing’s revamped global mission, and I’m honored to be a part of it through Ford’s Driver Development Team.”
Paley won’t be the first American member of the Ford Racing Driver Development Team to race in GT4 Australia, as Jenson Altzman took part in a round at The Bend Motorsports Park last year, also in the Wallis squad.
“Jack is a very strong, up-and-coming young driver, and my goal is to use my existing knowledge and expertise to propel his development and success within motorsports,” added Paley.
“I’m eager to get going with Jack and strive toward some strong results this season with Wallis Motorsport.”
The Wallis entry is one of at least eight Mustang GT4s that are set for the upcoming season, which kicks off at Phillip Island on March 27-29.
“Last season was a big year of learning and development for me, and my goal is to build on that progress, become more consistent, and keep pushing toward the front of the field,” said Wallis.
“I’m really looking forward to working closely with Sam, continuing to grow as a driver, and chasing some great results with the whole crew this season.
“We’ve been putting a lot of work into our preparations, and I’m genuinely excited to start the year strong and see what we can achieve together.”
