Ford Racing Driver Development team member Jenson Altzman and Mustang Challenge veteran Zach Lee have been confirmed as drivers for McCumbee McAleer Racing’s expansion into Pirelli GT4 America.

As first revealed by Sportscar365, the veteran sports car racing outfit will enter a Ford Mustang GT4 in SRO America for the first time, with Altzman and Lee set to fight for Pro-Am class honors.

Both drivers have experience with the Chad McCumbee and Stevan McAleer owned-operation in IMSA-sanctioned competition, with Altzman a race winner in Michelin Pilot Challenge and Lee having been a dominant force in the Dark Horse Legends class of Mustang Challenge for the last two seasons.

It marks the second new Mustang GT4 entry for the series, following TechSport’s previously announced effort that will be anchored by Frankie Muniz.

“I know SRO has been on Chad and Stevan’s radar for quite a while to expand their GT4 program, so I’m excited this is coming together for them,” said Altzman.

“Being a part of the Ford Racing Driver Development Team and seeing the massive amount of recent success for Mustang GT4, we knew the GT4 America grid was the next place to strengthen our global presence even further.

“Personally, I’ve also been keen to make my way into the SRO paddock, so it couldn’t have worked out any better than running with MMR and Zach Lee.

“I’ve known Zach since my first year racing cars when we were teammates at MMR in 2021; we’ve always said how much fun it would be to race GT4 together… guess 2026 is that year.”

Lee added: “Over the last two seasons competing in Mustang Challenge with the Dark Horse R, I’ve gained so much respect for what Ford is building and the level of competition within the Mustang platform.

“Moving into GT4 America feels like the next big step, and I’m incredibly grateful to Ford Racing and MMR for the opportunity to continue growing within this program. Let’s see what we can do.”
