Porsche Motorsport North America has named Ryan Yardley and Tom Sargent to its Selected Driver roster for this year.
Yardley, the reigning Porsche Carrera Cup North America champion, joins as a new Selected Driver in the program, which saw Sargent, Loek Hartog and Riley Dickinson serve in the role in 2025.
The award provides direct manufacturer support, expanded race opportunities, and mentorship across GT and endurance racing platforms.
“We’ve watched both of these talented divers improve their craft through Porsche single-make racing here in North America and each has earned this honor,” said Porsche Motorsport North America President and CEO Volker Holzmeyer.
“We’re proud of Ryan and Tom and look forward to watching their careers develop in the United States and around the world as PMNA Selected Drivers.”
Yardley claimed his first-ever Carrera Cup North America title with three wins and 14 podiums out of 16 races in a battle with Dickinson that went down to last October’s season finale at Circuit of The Americas.
The 27-year-old Kiwi will be making his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut in this weekend’s season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona in a Muhlner Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo in the GTD class.
He also has plans to contest GT World Challenge America powered by AWS and Pirelli GT4 America races this year.
“It’s super special to continue my relationship with Porsche and officially join the Porsche family here in North America,” said Yardley. “I feel privileged and honored.
“Last year was an amazing year for me inside the race car and now to start this year at Daytona is very special.
“To be named as a Porsche Motorsport North America Selected Driver just before the race is special.
“I’m super excited for the season ahead and thankful to everyone involved, not only in making this decision but my career in North America to make this all happen.”
Australian native Sargent came to the U.S. in 2023 and finished second in Carrera Cup North America before moving into SRO America competition with class wins aboard Porsche machinery with GMG Racing.
He stepped up to a Michelin Endurance Cup role with Wright Motorsports in the WeatherTech Championship last year, while also making his debut in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa with the Ohio-based squad.
The 22-year-old is expected to also return to GTWC America competition.
“Last year was a big step, being affiliated officially with the brand, and to be able to continue that again this year is very special,” said Sargent.
“It’s a step in the right direction for where I want to be.
“I’ve been with Porsche since 2022 and to be recognized is very, very cool.
“I’ve got a lot of opportunities this year to drive a lot of Porsche cars, so it’s helpful to be a part of this. The mentoring that comes with it is very important, and the relationships as well.”
Yardley and Sargent highlight a full class of drivers participating at various levels of the North American Porsche Motorsport Pyramid, including Porsche Carrera Cup North America, Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West and Porsche Endurance Challenge North America in single-make competition.
The Pyramid provides offers a path for drivers, teams, and marketing partners to progress through the ranks of sports car racing.
Nearly 90 drivers on the entry list at Daytona International Speedway this weekend have competed in Porsche single-make racing around the globe.
