Flynt Schuring and Marcus Amand have been named Porsche’s new Junior drivers for 2026.
Announced during Saturday’s ‘Night of Champions’ awards dinner, the two 19-year-olds from The Netherlands and Finland prevailed in a recent shootout involving 12 drivers nominated from each Porsche single-make Carrera Cup around the world.
Both will compete in a full season of Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, as well as a national Porsche Carrera Cup of their choice next year.
Amand (pictured above, right) won the Porsche Carrera Cup France title this year, while Schuring won three races in Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany and finished third overall in Supercup.
In addition to a total of up to €120,000 ($139,000 USD) per junior, Porsche Motorsport’s support also includes intensive training in areas such as vehicle technology, setup work, fitness, nutrition, media and marketing work and career planning.
Schuring’s older brother, Morris, is already a Porsche-contracted driver and competed in DTM this year.
Porsche Motorsport has been promoting young talent on their way to professional racing since 1997, with the likes of Le Mans winners Timo Bernhard and Marc Lieb, recently crowned IMSA GTP champions Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet, along with DTM champion Ayhancan Guven having all came through the ranks initially as Porsche Juniors.
The German manufacturer also announced on Saturday the promotion of 2024/25 Junior Alessandro Ghiretti to ‘Porsche Driver’ status for next year.
Theo Oeverhaus, who joined Ghiretti on the Junior roster this year, has not been retained for 2026.
