Danish outfit RaceGroup has announced plans to make its debut in GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS with an AF Corse-supported Ferrari effort.
The team will field a single Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo for a campaign that will compass the five Endurance Cup rounds at minimum, while a team statement outlines that a decision on a possible Sprint Cup presence will be made “before the end of the year.”
RaceGroup steps up to European GT3 competition after two years of national success, competing mainly in TCR Denmark, as well as the Danish Super GT series and Special Saloon Car championships.
The outfit is headed up by former rally driver Henrik Lundgaard, who previously served as director at the now-defunct GMB Motorsport operation and is the father of current NTT IndyCar Series driver Christian Lundgaard.
The driver lineup for the team’s debut season in GTWC Europe is spearheaded by Frederik Schandorff, who has experience racing Ferrari machinery through his affiliation with Inception Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Schandorff is joined by Simon Birch, who drove for Razoon – More Than Racing in GTWC Europe, ADAC GT Masters and GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli, as well as team regular Malte Ebdrup.
“I am incredibly proud of the trio we are putting together for GT World Challenge Europe in 2026,” said Lundgaard.
“Malte and Simon bring strong talent and impressive results, and Simon has already made his mark internationally.
“Frederik has built a solid international career and has taken home impressive results. With those three drivers together we have the perfect combination of raw talent and experience.”
