Alex Quinn has been named by Peugeot as one of two test and development drivers for its FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar program, alongside Jean-Eric Vergne.

Quinn first sampled the Peugeot 9X8 during last month’s Bahrain rookie test and will join Vergne in a development role, with the Frenchman having been confirmed for that earlier this month.

The British racer, who came up through the LMP2 ranks in both the European Le Mans Series and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, has also been tipped to be part of the privateer Peugeot effort that will debut in the Asian Le Mans Series next year.

Quinn has been a regular teammate and coach to Greek Bronze-rated driver Kriton Lendoudis, who has purchased one of the wingless 9X8s that will be operated by BBM Sport for the 2026-27 campaign.

“I’m very happy to be joining the Peugeot family as a test and development driver,” said Quinn.

“I hope this marks the start of a long relationship. My goal is to help the team as much as possible while learning and growing on my side.

“And for that, I couldn’t be in a better place than with Team Peugeot TotalEnergies. 2026 is going to be an exciting year.”

Peugeot also outlined the six drivers that will form part of its race lineup next year, confirming that Loic Duval, Paul di Resta and Malthe Jakobsen have all been retained and will be joined by Nick Cassidy, Theo Pourchaire and Stoffel Vandoorne.

The exact composition of the driver crews will be revealed at a later date.
