Algarve Pro Racing has confirmed the lineup for its third Oreca 07 Gibson entered for the 2025-2026 Asian Le Mans Series, which kicks off at Sepang International Circuit next month.
John Falb will be the mandated Bronze-rated driver alongside Matthias Kaiser and Sami Meguetounif.
Falb, who has most recently spent a season in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship LMP2 ranks with Pratt Miller Motorsports, replaces the previously nominated Kriton Lentoudis in the No. 20 entry.
Lentoudis, as revealed by Sportscar365, has purchased a Peugeot 9X8 ahead of a planned Asian effort next year with BBM Sport in the series debut of the Hypercar class.
The Portuguese squad, led by Stewart and Samantha Cox will be pursuing a record-extending sixth Asian Le Mans title this season.
“I raced with Algarve Pro for four years with many tremendous successes along with tough challenges,” said Falb. “Stewart and Sam have continued to work hard to build the best race team in the paddock and I’m super excited to be back with the entire team.
“The Asian Le Mans Series is always a lot of fun and this year’s competition is better than ever. We have all the tools and talent to fight for the championship and that is the target.
“I’m teamed with someone who we know to be quick and consistent in Matthias and a super-fast F2 convert in Sami and we’re ready to hit the ground running and push for everything.”
Kaiser added: “The series has grown a lot and it’s great to see. There are some really strong lineups and we will be among the best of them with our mix of experience and raw pace, as John is fast and I saw Sami fly during testing in Portimao.
“It won’t be easy to win, but we compete because it’s challenging. We are certainly going to put up a fight.”
Meguetounif, 21, will be making his sports car racing debut after contesting a shortened season of FIA Formula 2 Championship competition with Trident.
“I’m really happy to be jumping back into a car after my Formula 2 season ended earlier than planned,” said the Frenchman. “It has been a frustrating year, so having this opportunity to join Algarve Pro Racing in the 2025-26 Asian Le Mans Series is something I’m very excited about.
“Endurance racing is completely new to me and, while I have driven the Oreca 07 Gibson twice to date, I know I still have a lot to discover, which is exciting in itself.
“Algarve Pro is a great team that can teach me a lot. I know my speed and that I can perform at a high level, testing has gone well and I can’t wait to go racing at Sepang.”
