21 Cars Entered for 12H Malaysia

Creventic has released a 21-car entry list for the first edition of its Michelin 12H Malaysia, which will be held at the Sepang International Circuit next month.

GT3 entries make up the bulk of the grid, with tens car from five different manufacturers forming the top-class field for the event.

Porsche is the best represented brand in the GT3 field, spearheaded by a two-car effort from Absolute Racing.

Antares Au, Loek Hartog and Patric Niederhauser will pilot the No. 10 Porsche 911 GT3 R, while Alessandro Ghiretti has been listed aboard the sister No. 26 car entered under the B-Quik Absolute Racing banner.

GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS champions Leo Ye Hongli and Bo Yuan team up with Lu Wei and Liu Hangcheng at the wheel of the No. 87 Origine Motorsport Porsche, while 24H Series stalwarts Herberth Motorsport are also present with a single car.

Three teams field Mercedes-AMG machinery, including the Ajith RedAnt Racing entry for Indian film star turned racer Ajith Kumar, who is joined by RedAnt regulars Ayrton Redant, Yannick Redant and Kobe de Breucker.

Mike Zhou, Elias Seppanen, Li Lichao and Tanart Sathienthirakul team up aboard the No. 999 Climax Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, while local squad Viper Niza Racing are also present.

The GT3 field is completed by single-car entries from Audi, Ferrari and Lamborghini, with the latter brand represented by the previously announced Leipert Motorsport entry for Marcus and Hampus Ericsson.

GTWC Asia regulars LM Corsa have entered the No. 60 Ferrari 296 GT3, while the No. 69 Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II rounds out the GT3 pack.

The GT4 category for the event consists of two cars, with Team Sorg Rennsport’s No. 427 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport joined by the No. 445 Cerny Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 EVO headlined by Alec Udell.

For Udell, the race marks a return to BMW GT4 machinery for the first time since a title-winning campaign in GT4 European Series powered by Rafa Racing Club in 2019.
