Nolasport has announced that two-time class champion Matt Travis will join Matheus Leist in its No. 47 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for this weekend’s Pirelli GT4 America season finale at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Travis will replace regular full-season driver Michael Auriemma, who will be absent.

“It’s been a challenging year for all of us at Nolasport,” said Leist. “We’ve shown great pace and qualified on pole multiple times in class, but we just haven’t quite been able to put it all together in the races.

“We’ve got two more chances at Indy, which is one of my favorite tracks on the calendar, and I’m looking forward to enjoying the weekend with the team and sharing the car with Matt for the first time.

“It’s unfortunate that Michael will miss the finale, but I’m ready for the challenge ahead.”

Travis has a longstanding relationship with the Louisiana-based team, having won two out of the three team’s GT4 America titles while claiming the drivers’ titles in 2021 and 2023.

Furthermore, Travis and the team have also brought their competitive edge overseas on multiple occasions in the GT4 European Series, representing America on a global stage by taking on Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

“What a treat to be back driving in the series, albeit briefly,” said Travis. “I’ll be coming back from a long-planned vacation late Thursday night, so I’m missing the test days and Practice 1.

“The first corner’s a right, right? Go ahead and fold the mirrors in — we won’t be using them anyway!”
