The No. 6 Penske Porsche 963 of Mathieu Jaminet was out front of the Motul Petit Le Mans at the halfway mark, following a well-timed pit stop prior to the latest full course caution.

The GTP points leader held a 0.219-second lead over a hard-charging No. 31 Action Express Cadillac V-Series.R of Earl Bamber, which has bounced back from a second stop while under the most recent yellow amid a right-rear puncture.

Philipp Eng ran third in the No. 24 Team RLL BMW M Hybrid V8, which also got past the pole-sitting No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06 of Colin Braun near the end of the fifth hour.

The No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac of Ricky Taylor was fifth at the halfway mark.

An accident by the No. 8 Tower Motorsports Oreca 07 Gibson of Sebastian Alvarez and No. 021 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 at the end of the third hour, which resulted in the race’s fifth yellow, saw the No. 6 Porsche pit just moments before the caution was called.

It put the Frenchman out ahead of the GTP pack.

LMP2 was led at halfway by the No. 22 United Autosports Oreca 07 Gibson of Rasmus Lindh, which following a right-rear puncture after contact with the No. 88 AF Corse Oreca of Nicklas Nielsen has left the points-leading No. 99 AO Racing entry of Dane Cameron a lap down.

Nielsen received incident responsibility and served a drive-through for the contact with the No. 99 AO machine, which had Jonny Edgar driving at the time.

It has provisionally swung the LMP2 title race to the favor of Daniel Goldburg, Lindh’s co-driver.

The No. 48 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO of Max Hesse led GTD Pro at the five-hour mark, ahead of Aaron Telitz’s No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3.

Simon Mann was out front in GTD, meanwhile, in the No. 21 AF Corse Ferrari.
