Team WRT has announced Pedro Ebrahim will join the lineup for the No. 31 BMW M4 GT3 EVO for this weekend’s Sao Paulo round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Brazilian driver Ebrahim, 25, will join fellow countryman Augusto Farfus and Yasser Shahin at the wheel of the No. 31 car as he makes his WEC debut in his home race in place of Timur Boguslavskiy, who has been forced to withdraw due to illness.

Ebrahim’s main program this season is in the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup, where he drives an M4 GT3 Evo for Paradine Competition.

Last year he raced in the GT4 European Series and the Italian GT Championship in BMW machinery, winning the GT3 Pro-Am Sprint title in the latter series.

WRT has also revealed a special one-off livery that will adorn the No. 31 car for the Sao Paulo round featuring the colors of the Brazilian flag.

The No. 31 crew heads to Brazil hoping for a change of fortunes, having finishing on the podium in the season-opening Qatar 1812km but failing to score in the subsequent three races, including last month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
