Johor Motorsports Racing has enlisted Alexander Sims and Jordan Love to complete its lineup for its two-car Corvette effort in GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS.

Announced by the Malaysian squad during a launch event on Monday, Corvette factory driver Sims will partner Prince Jefri Ibrahim, who is also the team president, aboard the No. 99 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R.

Love, who previously served as a junior driver with Mercedes-AMG, will share driving duties with Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim aboard the sister No. 66 car.

The Australian remains with the team as it makes the switch from the Stuttgart brand, having raced with JMR in a variety of series including GTWC Asia, the Intercontinental GT Challenge and Asian Le Mans Series.

Notably, Love and Sims teamed up together at JMR at last year’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, when they formed part of the team’s Pro-Am entry alongside Prince Jefri Ibrahim and Martin Konrad.

In addition to naming Sims and Love to its lineup, the team also officially confirmed that it will enter GTWC Asia after it didn’t outline any specific programs when it announced its Corvette switch last month.

The season with Corvette will be the team’s first after a six-year relationship with Triple Eight Race Engineering and Mercedes-AMG came to an end last winter.

The GTWC Asia season kicks off this weekend with a round at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
